If Sony hasn't entered the tv streaming yet (I know they have Core), I doubt they are now. It doesn't seem worth the investment for that imho.

If they're looking to acquire the game IP and studios, then that is something I can see happening. MK and NRS seems like a viable catch. I think RockSteady could be a good get. Ignore the Batman IP and the price that comes with that and just get them on a Marvel IP if they want to work on comic material.

I think its more so they are buying an established streaming service, with all the leg work and infrastructure in place, where they can just plug in their own content, rather than entering the streaming wars starting from scratch.

Not to mention they get DC, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat, and potentially even Looney Tunes under their umbrella. This is the biggest move Sony could make IMO.

They don't really have content outside of movies to put onto the service. Everything their TV division does, which is where their lucrative content comes from, is owned by other distributors.

I don't know, but I really don't see it. Streaming hasn't been that profitable, if at all, for most in the space.
