RE7 and 8 were designed for first-person, which is why it took effort to implement a third-person option later as DLC.
That might be why first person felt suitable for those games.
If 9 isn't developed specifically for first person, then perhaps it won't feel as natural in that game.
I'll try both and go with whatever feels best.
