Cleared Hot is certainly next demo I'll try out.

In the meantime I've tried Necromancer's Tale, iso CRPG, and while its low budget shows, I found it very interesting, since it really gives you an option to play your character as you like - I did no combat, since my character was brainiac with zero combat skills, and it worked perfectly fine, which is quite rare these days in RPGs. I'm going to try few more options to see how it plays with different approaches to story.

The biggest downisde of the Steam Next Fests is that there are too many demos to play in too little time.

Yeah, especially if they are on the longer side.

Luckily, there are short ones - I've played Cleared Hot, as you said it's quite short, and not what I expected really, but it's dumb fun.

I had to try Theropods as well, P&C adventure with pixel art, though unlike most modern indie pixel art games that has very small pixels, thus quite massive amount of pixels on screen to properly convey that 8-bit/16-bit era, this one is on the opposite side, with only 144p vertical resolution (if my pixel counting was correct). I used ShaderGlass with some old CRT preset over it to play, so it looked quite authentic (though I don't recall any hardware from that era having such a low resolution). Gameplay is very nice, really has feel of that 16-biut P&C adventure games era, with some timed actions. Quite short demo, but it made me want to play more.
