I don’t think you’d be all too happy if I started taking an extra $20 out of your wallet every time you purchased a Nintendo game.

Today's games are much more than the RRP on the box, years ago your share of RRP x Sales numbers is how the money was made, now though it is but one part of the income stream, subs/various digital editions that tend to add little beyond cosmetics and a digital soundtrack that gives them a high roi and a myriad of other ways to get the gamer to continue to fork out long after they bought the game.
