US official loses cool when asked about ambassador’s comments on Palestine
State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce on Tuesday wasn’t pleased when reporters asked her to comment about a statement made by Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to Israel, on the future of the Middle East without an independent State of Palestine. This was after Huckabee said that the US was no longer pursuing the goal of an independent Palestinian state, marking what analysts describe as the most explicit abandonment yet of a cornerstone of US Middle East diplomacy.
Asked during an interview with Bloomberg News if a Palestinian state remains a goal of US policy, he replied: “I don’t think so.”
Tammy Bruce wasn’t pleased when a host of reporters asked her to clarify on this dangerous shift in the US stand on Palestine. She even lost cool and spoke with a Palestinian American journalist with intimidating tone.
Mutiny in David Lammy’s ministry over support to Netanyahu; staff told to resign
In a huge development, as many as 300 Foreign Office staff members at different seniority levels in the UK and embassies and missions around the world wrote to the government expressing their fears that the UK had become complicit in Israeli war crimes in Gaza.
In response, the bosses in the ministry headed David Lammy told the disgruntled staff to either shut up or resign.
Rifat Jawaid explains why this development is a chilling reminder that the UK is being pushed into becoming a failed nation, which has zero respect for international laws.
