Someone tell me in basic terms how powerful the ROG XBOX ALLY X is and if it would be worth buying now or waiting for something more powerful? Or would it make more sense to just buy this one because handheld tech isn't going to advance that quickly and this is already powerful? Like I'm not going to buy a ROG XBOX ALLY X and then a notably more powerful device releases a year later, will I? Lol.

There's been a number of Xbox games lately where I've thought to myself "This would be nice to play on a handheld"

What resolution and framerate are we talking?

As far as raw power, you're looking at a slightly more powerful Steam Deck at the most. More RAM should allow for the games to run more smoother though.

The screen is the same as the previous ROG Ally with a 1080p screen at 120hz refresh rate.

Is the performance stable at 60fps-120fps?

I don't know if I'd really care for anything higher than 1080p in a handheld, Lol.

I think I'd use it almost entirely as a Game Pass/Play Anywhere machine but I'd create a Steam account and go install Steam, I'm sure I'd be able to find a lot of interesting smaller titles on Steam which aren't on Xbox, and the odd cheeky Sony game

Maybe a stupid question but can you project the Rog Ally X to a TV and how is the experience?
