🇺🇸 White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to Ukraine's drone strikes on Russian airbases by stating that President Trump wants the war to end at the negotiating table.

Notably, there was no criticism of Zelensky — a calm and unexpected tone.

Between this and Lindsey Graham having secret meetings with EU on sanctions and Republican Senators largely backing sanctions, it feels like Trump is slowly losing his ability to defend Putin, Russia is weakened and thus Trump is weakened too, the tone from the White House is all of a sudden a lot more quiet and meek. Trump doesn't support sanctions but he might not have a choice. America also didn't want Ukraine at the NATO summit and yet they've been invited and they seem quite surprised by Ukraine's cards
