With Joe Staten being free, maybe Sony should consider throwing him a bag of cash to come back to Bungie, after they fire the management that screwed him over. I think Joe would still care about Bungie. Though it's a lot to manage for one person so maybe it should be a joint CEO operation with Joe focused on the creative side and someone else focused on the business side.
