Unthinkable act by US Senator as Marco Rubio reminded of violation by Netanyahu
In an unexpected development, a top US Senator, Jeff Merkley, on Tuesday used the appearance of Secretary of State Marco Rubio before a select committee to remind him about the violation of international humanitarian law by Benjamin Netanyahu. Merkley said that the plan to forcibly displace the Palestinian population would be in violation of international humanitarian law as he asked Rubio to use his relationship with Netanyahu to stop the collective punishment of Palestinians.
