🇷🇺 Russia's demands at the talks are unrealistic and go far beyond what was previously discussed, Reuters reports citing a Ukrainian diplomatic source.

Moscow is reportedly demanding that Ukraine withdraw troops from what it calls "its territory" to agree to a ceasefire — among other new conditions.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 The Ukraine-Russia talks in Istanbul have been paused — not ended — after Moscow demanded Ukraine withdraw its forces from the partially occupied Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions, sources in the Ukrainian delegation told Novyny LIVE.

‼️🇺🇦🇷🇺 During the Istanbul talks, the Ukrainian delegation reportedly refused to withdraw troops from partially occupied territories. In response, Russian delegates allegedly stood up and warned: “Next time, it will be five regions,” referring to Dnipropetrovsk.

❗️Ukrainian delegation head and Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov will hold a press conference at 18:00 Kyiv time. As of now, the negotiations have ended and will likely not be continued. It lasted less than 2 hours.
