🇺🇸🇺🇦🇹🇷 A trilateral meeting between Turkey, the U.S., and Ukraine is underway in Istanbul.

The U.S. side includes Secretary of State Rubio, Ambassador Tom Barrack, and Ukraine envoy Keith Kellogg. Notably, Witkoff is absent.

Ukraine is represented by Andriy Yermak, Rustem Umerov, and Andriy Sybiha.

Russian delegation opposes U.S. presence at direct talks with Ukraine. According to Russian media, the Turkish representative is also expected to leave after opening remarks.

The Russian delegation is intentionally stalling — instead of starting the meeting with Ukraine on time, they were just leaving their hotel.

Per Moscow’s demand, U.S. and Turkish officials will leave the room after opening statements. U.S. reps are also expected to hold separate talks with Russia.

Peskov says a Putin-Trump meeting is "necessary" and would require serious prep — especially to discuss global "issues" like Ukraine. He added there are no concrete proposals yet to revive Russia-NATO ties, which he claims are impossible as the alliance is "at war" with Russia.
