2007 is one of those all-time great years.

For me, BioShock edges out Super Mario Galaxy. Exceptional writing & storytelling, high replay value, spectacular art direction and sound design, and brilliant, open-ended gameplay that combines deadly, high-stakes action & thoughtful role-playing systems that encourage experimentation.
