To be honest, I don't think Europe is even trying to get Russia to agree to a ceasefire. If it did, the language used wouldn't be so strong. Russia simply can't accept a ceasefire when pressured like this. If Europe wanted results, there wouldn't be such public pressure. This is probably a play to either get more sanctions or the favour of Trump by making Russia look bad.

Also, I don't think Ukraine has much to gain here. The so-called negotiations will probably end up being a nice show at best and something that makes Ukraine look bad to Trump at worst (everyone keeps trying to manipulate Trump somehow because that kind of seems to be the thing with him). Basically there's a bunch of flashy nothing going on, I think.

Yeah that part is clear, Ukraine and Russia are basically trying to win Trump over with PR battles, Lol. Shit has been happening for months now, I can't blame Ukraine for trying, I do blame Europe though for dragging their feet, Trump will never go hard on Putin, he is a fucking coward, it doesn't mean Europe needs to keep entertaining the delay tactics though.

It has been made clear Putin doesn't want peace but Putin somehow makes the whole thing grey again and Europe throws their hands up and says okay, no response, they should be SCREAMING that Putin just rejected a ceasefire proposal on the 13th but instead accepting him delaying things further. What happens when these peace talks fail? Lol. Europe running into an own goal and setting things up for Trump to blame Ukraine again and Zelenskyy is trying to avoid that but has no choice but to entertain America's bullshit when Europe won't step up.
