And the third part of today’s gaming news:
There's another Risk of Rain 2 expansion on the way
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/roguelike/theres-another-risk-of-rain-2-expansion-on-the-way/
At its PAX East panel last week, Gearbox announced the third expansion for Risk of Rain 2. Alloyed Collective will bring new things to almost every element of the game, and the trailer shows off lots of action with survivors fighting the Solus, those weird orb-shaped robots that have been present throughout the game since launch.
A unique horror strategy game about drilling for oil released on Steam last week
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/strategy/a-unique-horror-strategy-game-about-drilling-for-oil-released-on-steam-last-week/
In an alternate 1988 where a supervolcanic eruption has devastated Earth's surface, brave and desperate Terranaut expeditions carve out a path to a supposedly massive crude oil deposit vital to fueling the salvation of humanity's remaining civilizations. To get that oil they'll have to survive underground terrain, bizarre creatures of the deep earth, and each other, to the point where lack of oxygen underground may be their smallest problem.
Anoxia Station is a weird little "horror-strategy" game set in that world where you take charge of one of these expeditions in a turn-based format, trying to deep-earth strip mine your way to humanity's future. It's a strange and unique-looking game that builds an aesthetic comparable to HR Giger's—a blend of industrial mechanics, natural features, and bizarre creatures.

The devs behind co-op horror game REPO have laid out a decision they've made after player feedback from their latest open beta update: they're going to make the Overcharge mechanic that penalizes players grabbing onto monsters something that only kicks in after 10 levels of play.

The tower defense comeback continues with Rift Riff, a 'remarkably forgiving' game about interdimensional juice raids

You, a bumbling cloaked wizardy figure, tumble out of a wormhole into a new world. You jog a short distance to the spot you can install your extractor—which is a tower that sucks juice out of the land. Your initial juice budget lets you buy a few defensive towers well, which you place along the path you just followed, which also happens to be the path shadowy blob monsters will follow when they pour out of space to come for your extractor.
This is Rift Riff, a tower defense game that joins Thronefall, Cataclismo, Emberward, Defender's Quest 2, and most recently Nordhold and Gnomes in the resurgent hold-the-line genre. Turtling is back, and I'm so happy I would come out from behind my maze of walls, only I will never come out from behind my maze of walls, that is how they get you.
Ouch—Warner Bros throws Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League under the bus in the most corporate way possible, side-eyes it for closed studios and cancelled games

WB Games has had a bit of a rough time recently. That's as per a finance report that unveiled a cliff-sharp drop in gaming revenue in the first quarter of 2025. While the report doesn't have its own segment purely for gaming, it does go into the numbers pulled in by videogames in its highlights summary.
Bam Margera is officially returning to Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 + 4 as a Secret Skater
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/sports/bam-margera-is-officially-returning-to-tony-hawk-pro-skater-3-4-as-a-secret-skater/
After a lot of speculation, Bam Margera's appearance as a Secret Skater in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 + 4 has been officially confirmed by a video posted to the game's social media. In March, the skater list was published and players were quick to notice that Bam Margera was missing from the lineup. But, not long after the lineup was announced, it was shared on skating podcast The Nine Club that Tony Hawk was essentially demanding Margera's appearance in the game, even after development had finished.
Oblivion Remastered has a new texture error, and this one mucks up a gag from the original game

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun: a second texture error has been located in Oblivion Remastered's whizzbang skins, rendering the game unplayable and life unlivable. Right after players noticed that the new texture on the door to Cheydinhal's Dark Brotherhood sanctuary recklessly bungles a bit of the sect's background lore, someone else has noticed a gag on one of the game's shop signs hasn't survived the transition to 4K.
Cash Cleaner Simulator is the next legally obscure sim to take the internet by storm

After the popularity of Schedule 1, it was only a matter of time before another questionable simulator came to occupy everyone's free time, and Cash Cleaner Simulator is here to do just that.
Rather than crafting your own supply and handing it out around the town, as the name suggests you are responsible for checking, cleaning, and sorting out stacks of notes before shipping it back out. The only catch is you can't leave, and you probably shouldn't ask any questions.
Please excuse my bad English.
