MODS, EMULATORS & FAN PROJECTS

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim just got an amazing Call of Duty Mod
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-just-got-an-amazing-call-of-duty-mod/
In 2023 and 2024, we saw two cool Call of Duty and World of Tanks mods for Skyrim Special Edition. And now, in 2025, we got a brand new incredible Call of Duty overhaul mod for Bethesda’s RPG, called Call of Duty – Tamriel at War. So, let’s see what this new mod is all about.
This mod will turn Skyrim into a modern first-person/third-person shooter. The game will now have gigantic battlefields stretching all across the map with Infantry, Tanks, Aircraft, and Artillery. Plus, the mod introduces Skyrim’s most modern gun mechanics to date, with many new guns, grenades, flamethrowers, and rocket launchers.
With this mod, all of Skyrim has become a modern warzone. Groups of soldiers and tanks will now travel across the roads and wild areas. When fighting starts, it can quickly turn into a huge battle. Officers can call in airstrikes, artillery, and more troops to help. This will make each fight feel big, exciting, and full of surprises.
In Call of Duty – Tamriel at War, there isn’t one set mission to follow. Instead, you fight in a war that is always changing. You move with your team from your base to the next goal without any loading screens. The battle can happen at random times. So, you never know where the enemy might be hiding or how many there are. Besides being a soldier, you can also take charge as a commander. As such, you will be able to gather troops, build your army, and lead them into battle, just like in a strategy game.
And that’s not all. Call of Duty – Tamriel at War adds new guns/weapons to the game. Each weapon comes with its own animation. Guns will behave realistically in terms of how accurate they are and how much damage they inflict. Oh, and the archery perk tree has been expanded to include perks for guns. And yes, you will be able to reload your weapons at will.

Oblivion Remastered Mod Overhauls the Behavior of All Animals
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/oblivion-remastered-mod-overhauls-the-behavior-of-all-animals/
Modder ‘OzenRSI’ has released a new cool mod for Oblivion Remastered. This mod will change how prey and predator animals behave, making them act more like real animals in the wild.
The mod also gives each animal its own special AI that reacts to what the player does. The modder says this will make the world feel more real and the wilderness more exciting to explore.
Prey animals will now notice the player based on how they move, sneak, stand in combat, or how close they are. On the other hand, Predators will act more carefully. They might follow, run away, or attack depending on what the player does and how strong or weak they feel. Their behavior will change in real-time. In short, this is a cool mod that will make the game’s world feel more alive. Those interested can go ahead and download the mod from this link.
OzenRSI is also working on similar AI overhaul mods for Bosses, Creatures and Humanoids. So, things will get even better in the future.

The creator of The Witcher 3 HD Reworked has released his first mods for Oblivion Remastered
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/the-creator-of-the-witcher-3-hd-reworked-has-released-his-first-mods-for-oblivion-remastered/
Modder ‘Halk Hogan’, known for his HD Reworked Projects for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, has released his first mods for Oblivion Remastered. So, let’s take a closer look at them, shall we?
The first mod introduces high-quality skin to all characters. The mod improves body details, from toes to neck, for all female and male characters. It will affect all races except of Argonians and Khajiits. Plus, it covers both the main character and the NPCs. You can download it from here.
The second mod adds 8K body textures to the game for the Imperials. It packs 8K diffuse textures and 2K normal maps. As I said, this mod will only cover the Imperial race. In theory, the modder will cover other races in the future. So, hopefully, he will release an AIO modlist that will include all of them. The third mod reworks faces textures to be much smoother and younger. For best results, Halk Hogan recommends putting the player age slider in character creation on maximum left (youngest possible age). However, even if you haven’t done that, the mod will improve the faces of all ages. It’s a cool mod that takes advantage of the RHQS Mod. In fact, Halk Hogan recommends using both of them.
It will be interesting to see whether we’ll get an HD Reworked Project for Oblivion Remastered. To be honest, most of the textures used in Oblivion Remastered are fine. But then again, that’s what we were saying for TW3, too.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 got a NieR: Automata 2B Mod
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/clair-obscur-expedition-33-got-a-nier-automata-2b-mod/
Modder ‘CodeBreakerUmbra’ has released a mod Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, that replaces Lune with 2B from NieR: Automata. As such, you will now be able to play this new RPG with your favourite android from Yoko Taro’s title.
This is just a character swap mod. In other words, it will only replace Lune’s 3D model with that one of 2B. It will not change her voice, hear weapons or her skill tree. So, don’t expect to see any custom moves for 2B. She will still act and sound like Lune.
Now I don’t want to go into spoilers, but it can make sense to have other characters from other games in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It all comes down to the Paintress. And that’s all I’m going to say.

GTA 5 Enhanced Edition – Next-Gen Euphoria Mod Released
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/gta-5-enhanced-edition-next-gen-euphoria-mod-released/
Modder ‘iammrmikeman’ has released a new mod for GTA 5 Enhanced Edition that aims to overhaul its Euphoria Physics Engine. By using it, you’ll get better and more immersive physics. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
The Next Gen Euphoria Mod attempts to enable all the disabled features of the Euphoria Physics Engine. Or at least that’s what the modder claims.
The mod randomizes the NPC recovery time after being pushed or ran over between 50ms and 3000ms. It also enables offscreen ragdolls, and makes car crashes more brutal. NPCs will now balance better, and both the main character and the NPCs can now take more steps in euphoria before a fall.
Moreover, the mod increases the maximum amount of active euphoria ragdolls at any time to 350. Plus, it enhances bullet reactions for pretty much all weapons.

Finally, this Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 camping mod means I'll never have to scour Bohemia for a place to sleep again
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/finally-this-kingdom-come-deliverance-2-camping-mod-means-ill-never-have-to-scour-bohemia-for-a-place-to-sleep-again/
Much as I love Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, one thing I didn't like, at least in the early game, was bed hunting. Sleeping is the main way you save and regenerate health in Warhorse Studios' marvellous medieval RPG, but in the game's first area beds are rarer than groschen and good steel. Rocking up to a campsite to discover a bunch of heavily armed bandits slumbering away was always a deflating experience, as was spending what few coins I'd earned on a bed in an inn just to save the game.
Hence, it was with no small amount of relief that I discovered the existence of the KCD2 camping mod, which furnishes Henry with the ability to set up his own campsite anywhere in Bohemia. Created by modder djb and released just a few days ago, the mod "enhances the roleplaying experience in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, allowing players to set up their own authentic personal campsites anywhere in the world."
The camping mod basically lets you carry your own camping equipment around with you, then deploy it at will on any suitable terrain. A basic camp includes a campfire, a tent, and a bed which, according to djb "conforms with the base game's cooking and sleeping systems."
To be clear, the mod doesn't whisk you away to a separate camping area Baldur's Gate 3 style. It actually places your camp within the game world, dynamically aligning your tent, campfire etc with the underlying terrain. According to djb, getting this to work involved writing 1,500 lines of code. "This turned out to be an extensive exercise in creative problem solving to get the game system to allow for dynamically placing interactive smart objects like fires and beds", djb writes, adding that "It does not like this black magic, and there will probably be bugs."
>> There is only one screenshot of the mod.

Even Starfield's community patch modders are growing 'disenchanted' with the sci-fi RPG, as volunteers depart in droves: 'If nobody comes forward, we may have to retire the project'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/even-starfields-community-patch-modders-are-growing-disenchanted-with-the-sci-fi-rpg-as-volunteers-depart-in-droves-if-nobody-comes-forward-we-may-have-to-retire-the-project/
It would be unfair to call Starfield a terrible game, but by now it's safe to say that Bethesda's sci-fi RPG lacks the magic of its earlier games, particularly when compared to Skyrim and Oblivion. Indeed, the fervour around Oblivion Remastered demonstrates much of what Starfield lacks, like the ability to create a distinct, interesting character, and a world with the capacity to produce weird, interesting scenarios.
You don't have to take my word for it either. Since launching in 2023, Starfield has slumped to a 'Mixed' rating of 58% positive reviews on Steam, and now, even its most dedicated fans are growing weary of its po-faced science fiction and bitty, nebulous galaxy. The creators of the Starfield Community Patch, who banded together more than a year before the game launched to unofficially support this latest Bethesda world, are at risk of the project collapsing entirely because its volunteers are fed up with the game.
This was revealed on the Starfield Modding Discord by Community Patch modder Pickysaurus (via GamesRadar), who recently announced the project is "looking for new caretakers." Explaining why the Community Patch hasn't been updated since September 2024, Pickysaurus states that "This is due to the core team members generally not having the time or motivation to curate the patch anymore."

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – Update 4 Hotfix 2 Released, Full Patch Notes
https://www.dsogaming.com/patches/indiana-jones-and-the-great-circle-update-4-hotfix-2-released-full-patch-notes/
A couple of days ago, MachineGames released Title Update 4 Hotfix 2 for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new patch brought to the table.

It would take 2 years, and 2TB of data, to pre-bake the lighting of Assassin’s Creed Shadows
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/assassins-creed-shadows-would-require-2tb-of-data-and-2-years-for-baked-lighting/
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is easily one of the best-looking games on PC right now. This is the first AC game that feels, in terms of lighting, as good as AC: Unity. This is mainly due to the RTGI implementation, as the game takes full advantage of it.
In the past couple of years, a lot of people have been asking why the devs have moved from rasterized pre-baked lighting to real-time Ray Tracing. And we finally have some insight from the devs themselves. Forget all the YouTubers who constantly post angry videos. Here is why more and more games will be using RTGI.
