So, started playing FF8 again as got an itch after talking about it, wanted to create a run where character actually have certain roles instead of just maxing them all :P
However, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 dropped before I could get very far. I had been excited for it since it was first show at the Xbox and then stayed away from most stuff since.
Honestly, this is one of the best games I've played all gen if not ever. It's superb in so many way. I mean, you know, I'm presuming you are playing or have seen the praise.
The music is astounding, the characters and story really good, it looks amazing and combat is really good and intuitive and rip for exploit. :P
It's an easy 10/10 for sure. Main story and some side stuff in 36 hours.
My only issue (and not one that would reduce the score) and this will be hidden behind spoilers because play it!
I do not like Verso, like at all. When he came in I at least wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but he felt like not only as he there just to move the plot alot but was hiding something, his fake "cheeky" persona where he was stoic and reserved on the field but quirky, flirty and I'm your best bud, in camp. Like, why can't I play the actual interesting character, Gustave? The more the game went on the more I got the point of him in the story sure but he became just a background character and in Act 3 I wish he was. Less said about later revelations the better. Fucker.
I hated the fact I had to play as him in camp in Act 3.
