Wow. You guys really don't seem to like the direction they're taking.

@Nazatips Where did you read they were removing humor? I've read that they definitely wanted to keep the dark humor in the game, and that they only want to remove the self-referential jokes that take you out of the world and make you realize you're playing a game.

As for dumbing down the experience to make it more of an simple, mainstream FPS--I think it will have more unique gameplay elements than you are giving it credit for, plus they seem do be doing really interesting things with the AI of enemies and NPC's that should give more depth to gameplay... but admitedly i dont know that much yet. I'll wait for E3 impressions before I pass any more judgement.

They are removing humor because Peter Hines and none of the Bethesda devs have any.  Also the many quotes from Peter Hines and several previews have shown that Bethesda is only capable of low teir slapstick humour.

The problem with Bethesda is they can make a FPS hack'n'slash (or 3rd person shooter) and throw in some arbitrary character stats and their game get applauded for inovating the RPG genre.  The only problem is the stats in Bethesda's games are useless, and the way Fallout 3 is looking, there is no reason for having stats at all because they are making a 3rd person shooter.
