Doesn't matter really - Lunatic Dawn: Passage of the Book is made in Japan, yet it's as CRPG as it gets.

CRPGs mean Computer RPGs or Classic RPGs.

JRPGs mean Japanese RPGs.

You wouldnt call Lunatic Dawn an American/European RPG just because it took inspiration from early D&D like games from those regions.

It stands for computer RPG, I'm not sure when that "classic" misnomer began to pop-up.

As said, I would call it CRPG, not JRPG, cause in its structure and gameplay is very much that, akin to something like German Darklands from few years before it - I would never call it JRPG, even though it's made in Japan, just like I wouldn't call South Park WRPG just because it was made in US.
