| Ryuu96 said: This concession logic is so fucking stupid too because what happens when Russia threatens to invade lets say, Moldova, or even Latvia, is "Master Negotiator" Trump then going to come in like the fucking idiot he is and say "Lativa/Moldova must surrender concessions to Russia, Russia's concession will be that they won't invade!" Like what the fuck. In no way is Russia "not taking all of Ukraine" a concession, not to mention they don't even have the ability to do that. |
It's a theme with Trump. He's been saying it since 2016 at least for Crimea

07/27/2016 Donald Trump said Wednesday that, if he is elected president, he would consider recognizing Crimea as Russian territory and lifting the sanctions against Russia.
And of course he has recognized the Golan Heights as part of Israel

At a naming ceremony on Sunday, Mr Netanyahu said Trump Heights honoured Mr Trump for his decision to recognise Israeli sovereignty over the territory.
And of course there are many decades of history in the ME to see annexation only leads to further annexation, more parts of Lebanon and Syria taken now.
Trump is consistent at least, the public are the ones who keep forgetting thanks to the media.
It's much more than a concession, that word is used as a euphemism to make it sound 'reasonable' to give up part of your country / home to barbaric invaders.
Anyway we had the analogy plenty times before. Someone decides to bomb your home and set up camp in your living room. Well, let them have your living room and promise not to defend yourself in trade for your life. You can still live in the ruins of the rest of your house, as long as you keep paying reparations to the invader.
I'm glad to see Europe is starting to stand up to the USA, yet much more still needs to be done.
