SALES/PLAYER COUNTS & DEALS
Despite the $50 price tag, Oblivion Remastered shoots straight to the top of Steam's best sellers
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/despite-the-usd50-price-tag-oblivion-remastered-shoots-straight-to-the-top-of-steams-best-sellers/
One of the worst-kept secrets in videogames finally broke cover today, with Bethesda both revealing and shadow-dropping the remaster of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. The game comes with a $50 price tag (and is also available on Game Pass), which some weren't expecting, but despite that has instantly shot to the top of Steam's best-seller list.
>> And it must have sold quite a fair share of copies, since PCGamer also has an article about reaching 120,000 concurrent players, and SteamDB says it went past that to over 180K.

MODS, EMULATORS & FAN PROJECTS
Here are the first cool mods for Oblivion Remastered
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/here-are-the-first-cool-mods-for-oblivion-remastered/
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has just been released, and its first cool mods have appeared online. So, let’s see what you can download in order to improve your gaming experience.
The first mod that a lot of players will want to use is this one. In the remaster/remake, the devs changed the Male/Female setting in character customization to Body 1/2. This was an unnecessary change. So, to get back to Male/Female, you’ll have to use this mod.
Another cool mod is the Ultra+ Mod. This mod aims to improve the visuals of the game. To be more precise, it improves the fog quality, fixes fog ghosting and fixes fog artifacting against the sky. It also enables fog in Lumen for GI and reflections. Plus, it increases the quality of lighting and reflections. Oh, and it also adds support for Ray Reconstruction.
Oblivion Remastered HQ Music is a mod that brings high-quality music to the game. Each track has been remastered from the original OST with improved clarity, dynamics, and balanced volume.
Then we have a mod that enables every creature and NPC to catch on fire from open flames. This is a cool mod that can enhance the game’s combat. After all, it allows you to set some fire traps. So, make sure to download it from this link. Although the game does not have a Photomode, this mod attempts to add one. It’s simple, but some of you may find it cool. Just don’t expect it to be as advanced as an official Photomode.
Finally, we have a mod that can increase the amount of stuff you can carry. Another mod increases the amount of money vendors have. As such, you can sell more of your items/weapons to them. We also have a mod that can increase (or decrease) the experience you gain. This will be ideal for those who hate grinding. There is also a mod that makes all spell effects available for spellmaking/enchanting. The mod also adds some utility spells, and gives access to previously unavailable effects.

It only took 3 hours for someone to upload the first Oblivion Remastered gooner mod
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/it-only-took-3-hours-for-someone-to-upload-the-first-oblivion-remastered-gooner-mod/
It's only a matter of time before somebody mods a game to be more horny. Whether it's a remaster, remake, or new release, every game's Nexus Mods page will eventually ensure that, if you're the type of individual who can't spend a moment without seeing something lewd, your condition won't become critical. What ramifications this will have for society is still up in the air, but the fact remains: If it's playable, it'll get gooner mods.
In the case of Oblivion Remastered, it only took three hours.
As last week's leaks had led us to believe, Oblivion Remastered launched as soon as it was announced—shortly before, in fact, because its Steam page went up just after its reveal stream went live. And thanks to Slack messages sent by my colleagues, we can pinpoint precisely when, at approximately 11:18 am EDT, Oblivion Remastered was available to the public and the time-to-pervert-mod clock began to tick.
That countdown ended at 2:27 pm EDT, when Nexus Mod user Bub200 secured a place in history by uploading the Ahegao Short Sword mod.
As gooner mods go, it's fairly tame. Bub200 just slapped some hentai panels onto a short sword texture and called it a day. I'm squinting at the screenshot now and as far as I can tell, there's nary a breast to be seen. Compared to what you'll find in a casual scroll through Skyrim's trending mods, it's practically Puritan—a description I never thought I'd apply to an ahegao face, but here we are.

Bethesda gave Oblivion Remastered game keys to the entire Skyblivion development team and 'made it clear that they have no intention of shutting down our project'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/bethesda-gave-oblivion-remastered-game-keys-to-the-entire-skyblivion-development-team-and-made-it-clear-that-they-have-no-intention-of-shutting-down-our-project/
Fan-made remakes of popular games are a risky thing. You never know when you're going to sink years of your life into a passion project, only to eat a cease and desist letter from an expensive lawyer representing a faceless corporate overlord that forces you to either change it up or shut it down entirely. That seemed like a real risk for Skyblivion, the ambitious, long-running effort to recreate Oblivion in the Skyrim engine, especially after it became clear that Bethesda was working on its own official Oblivion remaster.
Happily, in this case the outcome was very different: Instead of forcing an end to Skyblivion to protect its commercial interests, Bethesda sent a key for Oblivion Remastered to everyone working on it.
"Huge thanks to our friends @Bethesdastudios.com for their continued support of Skyblivion!" the mod team wrote on X. "As massive fans, we're beyond grateful for the generous gift of Oblivion Remastered game keys for our entire modding team! This means so much to us. Thank you for everything, @Bethesda.net!"
And, to assuage any concerns that this is all a fake-out, the team said in a follow-up message that "Bethesda made it clear that they have no intention of shutting down our project."
If you thought Elder Scrolls fans couldn't eat better: The mega-mod to build all of Morrowind just teased a release that'll make it border Oblivion's setting and add a whole new city
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/the-elder-scrolls/if-you-thought-elder-scrolls-fans-couldnt-eat-better-the-mega-mod-to-build-all-of-morrowind-just-teased-the-update-thatll-make-it-border-oblivions-setting-and-add-a-whole-new-city/
In case the approximately 60,000 Oblivion-related stories we've published in the last 24 hours have escaped you, it's feasting season for Elder Scrolls fans right now. The release of Oblivion Remastered has seen over 120,000 players pour into Cyrodiil at once, and I suspect it might beat that record this coming weekend.
But you know what? Whatever. Because as if that wasn't enough, the good folks over at Tamriel Rebuilt—the Morrowind mega-mod that aims to build the entire Morrowind province mainland into the game—also chose yesterday to tease the release of its next big update: Grasping Fortune.
You can now play as Reno & Rude in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/you-can-now-play-as-reno-rude-in-final-fantasy-7-rebirth/
Modder ‘DOD3NieR’ has released an amazing mod for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth that lets you play as Reno and Rude. This mod replaces Cloud and Tifa with these two Turks, and both of them have their own unique skills and moves.
Going into more details, players can hold normal attack to perform Haymaker for Rude and Counterattack for Reno. They can also use “Unbridled Strength” till “Rise and Fall” to access more normal attacks.
The bad news is that the mod does not replace the voices of Cloud and Tifa. As such, you will hear Reno or Rude with Tifa’s voice. This is kind of a bummer for such a mod. Yes, it’s a really cool mod. But man, it would have been even better if it had AI voices for Reno and Rude.
You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. This video will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from it.
Speaking of FF7 Rebirth, I also suggest FF7RebirthFix. This mod lets you adjust the gameplay FOV, unlocks the framerate, and adds support for ultrawide or narrower displays. Its latest version also improves shadow cascades. Thus, you won’t see shadows constantly changing right in front of you.
