The PCGamer news. This time, there’s been so many news these past days that I’ve decided to only post the articles from the last 24 hours:
Super Robot Wars Y pits Gundams against Godzilla in a huge showcase and release date announcement trailer

The long dark era of Super Robot Wars games being Japanese-only releases is over, the curse shattered by the enormous anniversary blowout game Super Robot Wars 30. Now, Super Robot Wars Y, second in the very long-running strategy RPG/interactive fanfiction franchise to get a global release has a release date, and it's just a few months away.
Here we go: The Oblivion remaster will be officially unveiled tomorrow
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/here-we-go-the-oblivion-remaster-will-be-officially-unveiled-tomorrow/
We thought—we expected, we hoped—that the long-awaited Oblivion remaster would be out today. Apparently it will not—but tomorrow? Tomorrow is a different day.
What exactly will happen tomorrow isn't perfectly clear, but there will at the very least be a reveal of the Oblivion remaster. Bethesda Softworks dropped this little note today on social media:
>> That tomorrow is today. Shikamo has a thread about it and PCGamer has a Live article to learn all about it.
The pitch of Diablo 4's next season is 'becoming the boss,' which is a polite way to describe killing a giant skeleton and stealing its death laser powers for yourself

Today Blizzard dropped a fresh pile of details about Belial's Return, Diablo 4's next season. As it says on the tin, the big bad in Sanctuary's immediate future is Belial, the Lord of Lies, one of Diablo's more powerful demons who's been absent since players kicked him out of Kehjistan back in Diablo 3. And players won't just be fighting him. Season 8's major new mechanic is boss powers, which will let players steal abilities from vanquished bosses—Belial included—and work them into their own builds.
>> But that’s not all. This season 8 should be more difficult and, apparently, coming up with new menacing names for activities is “probably one of the most difficult design challenges”.
Delightful undersea soulslike Another Crab's Treasure just got a huge 'Year Of The Crab' update featuring a fully remixed New Game Plus
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/action/delightful-undersea-soulslike-another-crabs-treasure-just-got-a-huge-year-of-the-crab-update-featuring-a-fully-remixed-new-game-plus/
What's better than a heaping serving of premium crab? A second round, entirely free. Aggro Crab's seafloor Sekiro-like Another Crab's Treasure was a pleasure to play when it rolled out last year, with our deep-diver Abbie Stone giving it a very positive 80% review last April. It might be worth mentally adding a few points to that, thanks to a huge update that just launched.
You can see a quick breakdown of what the big Year Of The Crab update entails in the trailer below or the full patch notes here, but the long and short of it is that this includes almost every idea, feature and bit of content that the studio wanted to cram into the game at launch, but didn't have the time, budget or firm orange shell for.
Fallout 1 lead Tim Cain says the marketing department wanted him to make it real-time 'because of Diablo,' but he got them to back off when he told them how much it would cost

In a new vlog on his YouTube channel, veteran RPG designer and Fallout 1 lead Tim Cain shared one of those great "told you so" anecdotes of gaming history: Interplay's marketing department apparently hounded Cain to rebuild Fallout to be more like Diablo, rather than the turn-based RPG we got.
Marvel Rivals' hero gallery UI used to look a lot cooler—but also a lot harder to use

I'm a comic book nut, but I stay away from Marvel Rivals to keep my blood pressure in check. I do love the radical, supremely over-the-top character designs that NetEase landed on for Marvel's coterie of costumed heroes, though. You might be surprised to learn that the game used to be even more stylized—so much so that finding a hero before a match was borderline obnoxious.
Overwatch 2 Season 16 finally adds hero bans to competitive play, and it's really brought out the vindictive side of players: 'He’s an annoying unkillable pain in the ass'

Every Overwatch player has that one hero that they can't stand. The hero that boils their blood and fills them with a kind of rage that is unmatched in every other avenue of their life. For me, it's Mercy, but every player has their own arch-nemesis in this game, and now we can all do something about it.
Overwatch 2 Season 16 is introducing hero bans, finally. At the beginning of every competitive match, players will vote to remove up to four heroes from play (two per team, but no more than two per role).
The Outlast Trials Season 3 launches today, adding a new enemy and the ability to punish your friends in handmade trials

The Outlast Trials is rolling out its third season today, adding yet another layer of torture to the Murkoff facility. For any Reagents with a therapy level of 99, you'll be able to enter "Project: Relapse" in exchange for reverting your level back to zero. So basically, you're back to square one and won't be escaping the facility any time soon.
REPO's next update will include matchmaking and expressions, so you no longer have to rely on shouting at your friends when they've smashed a valuable

In a recent Q&A video, the developers of REPO shared some information on what to expect from the next update for the game. That's alongside information about modding, details on new multiplayer features, new customisation for your robot, and information on the upcoming level.
