Maybe. The problem with portable gaming to me is I just don't have enough time to actually ever use it. When I leave my house I'm leaving to go do things and interact with people and wont ever be able to use it. During work at lunch I could use it but I go to the gym 4 days a week so I get one day a week to use at best for 1 hour. I could also just stream to my work PC which would be way more affordable.
One thing I did notice when I had a steamdeck is that playing smaller indie games like Ori, Ender lillies, etc. all felt much better to me on a portable device. I beat Ender lillies just sitting on my couch with the deck. Problem is I rarely play indie games like that.
