As a solo player, that's one of the main reasons I enjoyed RE6 more than RE5.

At least I don't have to babysit my CPU partner while they take stupid decisions in combat. Much, much better.

That's great Capcom must've heard the complaints about the CPU in RE5 and improved it in RE6.  I never played them solo so I never experienced playing with the CPU
