Why did MGS 4 fail to move consoles?

Sales went up quite a lot though. Enough to safely beat the 360, anyway.

Oh, and you don't need me to tell you about MGS4s greatness. Clearly Xbox360 fans being desperate for the game proves that MGS4 sure beats anything the 360 has to offer.

Actually it was 1.3 million in it's first day. And 3 million in some two weeks, even though VG Chartz doesn't admit it.

And console sales went up 700% in Japan and 180% in America (on the first week). That's impressive!
