There's this weird 2 way mindset with gamers where you have one side, those arguing about whether a game costs too much.

Then on the other side, there are gamers who mindlessly spend hundreds/thousands of dollars on a single game.

I was talking to a group of friends after the Direct and they were saying how Nintendo has lost their minds charging $80 for MK World, and then I reminded each of them that they all spent $300 each on heirlooms in Apex Legends. FOR ONE FUCKING CHARACTER!! And they had a model to where that was all they spent instead of $400

I got on to them asking how Apex Legends is worth $300 (in reality they've actually spent a lot more) yet Mario Kart World isn't worth $80?

Whoever spent that much on Apex Legends is guilible, and Mario Kart World is still too expensive for what it offers. That's why I said they need twice the courses they said were included so far, same with Battle Mode options.

That's just one example. But that's what a lot of gamers spend. From mobile games, gacha games, live service games (CoD, Fortnite, Sports games, GTA, League of Legends) or even MMO's that require a monthly subscription to play, the overwhelming majority of the gaming landscape spends a lot of additional money on games.

We've basically become the minority of the gaming industry lol. I'm still planning on holding off until Nintendo says what their plans are for DLC.
