Why did MGS 4 fail to move consoles?

Pretty much -- it was a good bump. The only people who should be disappointed are those who thought that MGS4 (or any game) was suddenly going to rocket the PS3 to victory (of which there are a few such examples on this forum).

Yeah... I mean I thought MGS4 did more then expecting at least in Japan.

It has a chance to play a decent second instead of a "would be called dead in japan if it wasn't for the 360."
