Israeli forces raid towns and villages across the West Bank
Our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic are reporting that Israeli soldiers have launched raids across the occupied West Bank tonight.
Raids were reported in:
- The Shu’fat refugee camp, in Jerusalem
- The village of al-Mughayyir, in Ramallah
- The Balata refugee camp, in Nablus
- The village of Haris, in Salfit
- The town of Qabatiya, in Jenin
- The village of Husan, in Bethlehem
- The town of Surif, north of Hebron
- The city of Qalqilya
Israeli settlers also stormed Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus under the protection of Israeli soldiers.
Palestinian youth shot near occupied East Jerusalem
Israeli forces have shot a Palestinian youth at the Qalandiya checkpoint, located north of occupied East Jerusalem.
The identity and condition of the victim is not yet known.
More raids have also taken place since our last update, including Israeli troops storming the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, and a raid on Budrus village, west of Ramallah.
Israeli soldiers arrest journalist in West Bank raid
Israeli forces have arrested journalist Ibrahim Abu Safiyeh after raiding his home in Beit Sira village near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, Wafa reports.
Israeli army kills 2 Palestinians in occupied West Bank
Two Palestinians were confirmed killed between Qabatiya and Misilyeh southeast of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Civil Affairs Commission identified them as Mohd Omar Zakarneh, 23, and Mirth Yasser Khzemiyeh, 19, adding that their bodies were being withheld by Israeli soldiers.
Since the Hamas-led attack on October 7, the total number of Palestinians killed in the West Bank has risen to 957.
