Absolutely not. I loved the PSP and the Vita was great when it comes to hardware. But Sony just dropped the software support. Seeing how they barely manage to release anything on PS5, I can't imagine them being able to support a mobile system. Plus I'm perfectly fine with the Switch (2) and I don't see how Sony could make anything better than Nintendo.

Back then they still needed to develop different software for their mobile and console platforms. That was much too costly, ultimately even for Nintendo.

Nowadays, things are very different. Game engines are much more scalable, and given development costs you can bet that PS6 first and third-party games will still be ported to the PS5 well into the 2030s.

As long as it has enough RAM (learning from the Series S's mistake) it will be very easy to downport stuff into a PS6 portable.
