Download a new version of Oblivion Unreal Engine 5 Fan Remake
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/download-a-new-version-of-oblivion-unreal-engine-5-fan-remake/
Greg Coulthard has released a new version of his fan remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in Unreal Engine 5. This new version seems to have some new high-quality textures (around 3000). As such, the project should now look better than before.
For those unaware, this project brings the entire map of Oblivion in Unreal Engine 5. So, this is what we’d get from a remaster of this classic TES game on a modern engine.
As I’ve already said, this Oblivion Fan Remake can mostly be described as a remaster on a new engine. The reason I say this is because it uses all the original assets. Yes, it does take advantage of some of UE5’s capabilities. However, the project would have looked even better with higher quality textures.
And that’s where Digital Dreams come in. Right now, he’s using AI tools to upscale the original textures. And, as you will see in the video, some areas do look impressive. To be more precise, the cities during rain can look gorgeous.
Do note that this fan project simply lets you explore the world of Oblivion in UE5. It does not have any enemies to fight. It also does not have any proper gameplay mechanics. So, consider this a fan tech demo and nothing more. This isn’t a fully-fledged playable remake of Oblivion.
