Israeli settlers attack police officer in West Bank

Israeli media report an attack by dozens of settlers from an illegal outpost in the north of the occupied West Bank against Israeli police officers.

At least 17 settlers were arrested, the police reportedly said, after they attacked a policeman who was called to a noise complaint at an event.

“When the patrol car arrived to handle the noise nuisance, dozens of rioters began throwing stones at it,” a spokesman told The Times of Israel, adding that the settlers punctured the car’s tyres and set it on fire.
