Syria urges international community to pressure Israel to end ‘aggression’

The Syrian Foreign Ministry calls the wave of Israeli attacks an “unjustifiable escalation” that aims to threaten stability in Syria and prolong the suffering of its people.

“The Syrian Arab Republic calls an international community to take a firm position and pressure Israel to end its aggression and adhere to international law,” the ministry said in a statement.

Palestinian Presidency condemns Israeli plan to further divide Gaza

The presidency of the Palestinian Authority has rejected Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement that Israel will create a second Philadelphi Corridor to separate Rafah from Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

It said in a statement that this further indicates Israel’s intentions to “perpetuate its occupation of the Gaza Strip and divide it” in violation of international law, according to the official Wafa news agency.

The PA called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to urgently intervene and halt Israeli aggression.

The presidency called on Hamas to “stop its dependence on foreign agendas, prioritise the supreme interests of our people, and respond to the demands of our people in Gaza to lift Hamas’s grip on the Strip”.
