Many dormant Sony IP's were made mainly by 2nd/3rd party developers, it was the case for Everybody's Golf and Patapon. A shame that the new games will be made by new developers, but better this than nothing.

On the off chance one of the revived IP's finds a large enough audience, Sony might step in and resume publishing. I imagine this is what Sega would have done if Bayonetta 2 and 3 were bigger sellers than they proved to be.
