Trump once again threatens Hamas, Palestinians with ‘hell’ in Gaza
Trump has called on Hamas to release “all” of the captives still in the territory immediately, or face “HELL”.
Trump has repeatedly made that threat before. In a new post on his social media platform Truth Social, he wrote, addressing Hamas, “‘Shalom Hamas’ means Hello and Goodbye – You can choose. Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you”.
“Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!” the president added. “I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a
single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.”
The comment appeared to follow Trump’s meeting with previously released captives. “This is your last warning!” he wrote. “For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance. Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!”

The Israeli army has been holding the bodies of dozens of Palestinians killed during its genocide in the Gaza Strip beginning on 7 October, and Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has called for the creation of an independent international investigation committee into organ theft suspicions.
Euro-Med Monitor has documented the Israeli army’s confiscation of dozens of dead bodies from Al-Shifa Medical Complex and the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, and others from the vicinity of the so-called “safe corridor” (Salah al-Din Road) designated for displaced people heading to the central and southern parts of the Strip.

The National Campaign to Retrieve Martyrs’ Bodies, a non-governmental organization, said, “Israeli occupation authorities are holding the bodies of 198 documented martyrs in 2024.”
The group noted that the figure constitutes one-third of the 641 bodies held in Israel’s “Cemeteries of Numbers” and morgues, as documented by the campaign.
The so-called “Cemeteries of Numbers” are unmarked graves bordered with stones, each bearing a metal plate with a number instead of the deceased’s name. The numbers correspond to individual files kept by Israeli security authorities
In September 2019, the Israeli Supreme Court ruled that military commanders could temporarily withhold Palestinian bodies killed by Israeli forces for potential use as “bargaining chips” in future negotiations.

Withholding bodies of dead Palestinians and not return them to their families for proper burial is a cruel practice and a violation of international humanitarian law and United Nations Convention against Torture, said the Haifa-based Adalah – The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel said today.
Responding to directions by the new Israeli Defense Minister, Naftali Bennett, who ordered all bodies of Palestinians who attacked or who are alleged to have attacked Israelis to be held and not returned to their families, Adalah‘s General Director, Attorney Hassan Jabareen, stated that, "No country in the world allows itself to hold and to use bodies as a card for negotiation and political bargaining. These practices violate international humanitarian law (IHL) and international human rights law, including the UN Convention against Torture, which absolutely prohibits such cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment."
Israel currently holds corpses of 51 Palestinians, according Muhammad Alyan, representative of the families whose sons or daughters have been held since April 2016.
Hamas didn't even want to hold on to bodies, but Israel rather went back to bombing.
