So, was this a mafia style extortion tactic? If demanding half of a country's resources in exchange for protection doesn't fit that bill, I'm not sure what does. It's like saying, "Nice country you've got there; it'd be a shame if something happened to it."

Vladimir Putin was probably somewhere sipping vodka and chuckling. After all, in his exclusive meeting, he probably offered Trump access to rare earth metals in Ukraine's annexed territories. Talk about playing both sides.. Putin's got more leverage than a seesaw at a playground.
