Bofferbrauer2 said: Poland should go and cancel the order for the remainder of the 250 M1 Abrams tanks (and maybe even the F35 Lightning II aircraft), citing how they treated and threatened Zelensky and that they'd rather buy from other countries instead. Germany, Finland, Czech Republic, Romania and maybe even Greece could do the same, cancelling their cumulative orders of over 200 F35. That would hit the US right there where it really hurts them (and Trump), at their economy. |
No country in Europe should be buying Abrams, it should be Leopard 2 standard (I include UK is in), the differences between Challenger 2, Leopard 2, Abrams seem not significant enough to be bothered about that, in fact, Leopards seem more suited to a European landscape, as it is more agile, Abrams seems like the tank where you just stroll in the open in a straight line blasting shit up.
But more because Europe needs to invest in European military and if we have a European army we need a standard, I am willing to ditch Challenger 2 and make that the Leopard line. So yes, every European country should be cancelling their Abrams orders. Dump the F16s and F35s they already have, send the F16s to Ukraine and move onto Eurofighter standard.
Would massively increase demand for European arms manufacturers and thus increase production.
Ironically, America cries that we should invest in European military, then they block us from selling our European jets to other countries.
The U.S. Tries to Axe the Gripen-E Fighter Sale to Colombia | TURDEF
Gripen is made by Sweden but because it uses a engine made by American corporations, they are trying to block the sale, all so they can sell F-16s to Columbia instead. How the fuck is Europe meant to invest in its own military when America blocks our ability to commercialise from it? The damn hypocrisy. Sweden should tell them to get fucked.
