Shinobi was never released on PS1. SEGA was making consoles then and Sony was the competition. There was a Saturn Shinobi game but it was 2D. Shinobi on PS2 and Nightshade were 3D. Yep. Figured it out after looking it up on YouTube. Not even a game I remember reading about in a magazine. It's a complete blank but I suppose there are probably great games releasing right now these past few years and that you and I could absolutely love and they may go unknown to us up til the day we die. I only recently learned of Metal Wolf Chaos from you on another thread and so saddened that I missed that one and it's one that's way to bombastic for remaster treatment. 

Metal Wolf Chaos got a remaster on PS4/PC. Often on sale for 12 bucks.. I have the physical. Sekiro is in many ways a successor to Tenchu but also it's own thing. So not identical but a better successor than Shinobido series.
