Obsidian said it is happy with Avowed sales so far + The article made it sound very likely they're planning more Avowed. If they're already happy then they'll get a bonus from PlayStation and Switch 🙈 I enjoyed The Outer Worlds but I'm far more interested in Avowed's world and lore so I'd be more happier at more Avowed than The Outer Worlds, that's not to say I won't look forward to both though, Lol. But the Fallout talk makes me worried one of them will receive a bullet and if I had to choose it would be The Outer Worlds.

I think it's likely they stop at #2 either way for The Outer Worlds, only because Obsidian tends to do new stuff, doesn't tend to stick to something for multiple follow-ups, I don't believe they've ever done 3 sequel entries to a franchise, I don't think we can count Avowed as #3 for Pillars of Eternity 1/2, Lol. But if Pillars of Eternity 3 happens then that would be the first.

Pretty impressive Carrie did all this in more like 4-5 years (as the reboot happened 4 years ago), including a team change, and an engine switch from UE4/UE5, Obsidian is damn efficient, with the foundations built it shouldn't take that long for Avowed 2. She made the right choice in going open-zones, I love the world design of each zone and it helps it not feel overwhelming and plays to their strengths.

The original concept of Destiny x Skyrim sounds like a weird ass mix, I bet it was just some live-service slop, Lol.
