This is life or death, time to stop with procedure, decorum, talks, status quo, the old way of things, etc. Recognise the world has changed and either we change with it or we get left behind. We either defeat Russia now in Ukraine or we defeat them during WW3 when they've already invaded Poland. We're heading that way with the current slow walk approach and hoping everything will be okay with words.
Trump already made clear he is with Russia.
Europe needs to massively step up defence spending. UK, France and Germany need to get on the same page (hopefully after Germany elections) and take the lead, show some damn bravery, with the Baltics, Nordics and Poland and any other country that doesn't like things (Hungary, Slovakia) can piss off and leave the EU. It's time to stop pissing around with "This one country disagreed so we can't do anything, sorry"
This is the current way of the world, if Europe continues to be glued to rules and procedures they will be left behind. It's time to show some backbone and assertiveness and if a country like Hungary leaves, then quite frankly, good. But I'm willing to bet Hungary wouldn't leave EU and will instead cave under the pressure.
EU can't continue being dictated to by a few countries...Continue to be obsessed by how things were, and not how they are.
