The US can buy Ukraine's minerals like everyone else. Plus the US owes Ukraine money for modernizing the US army, taking their old stuff off their hands. Recycling isn't free... And if it wasn't for Ukraine standing up to Russia, who knows where we would be at now.

Ceasefires are merely tools of oppression nowadays. Look at Lebanon, Gaza, Syria, ceasefire simply means US lets Israel do what it wants but can't defend anymore. The same will happen with Ukraine ceasefire. US will expect Ukraine to stop defending themselves, leave Russia, while letting Russia continue destroying the areas they occupy and dig in.

The only option with Trump running the US is for Europe to step up and help Ukraine drive Russia out of Ukraine. There is no more alternative. The US under Trump is now an enemy of Ukraine. You can't deal with the likes of Trump/Putin/Netanyahu. Today's axis of evil.
