Realistically, there are a lot of problems with comparing the PSP to the GBA though ...
Even though their software sales may be similar, the GBA was (really) only on the market for 4 years before the Nintendo DS was released and development costs were dramatically lower on the GBA than the PSP; consider that the GBA was similar to the snes, and you could develop a game with 4 to 8 people working for 6 to 12 months while the PSP is similar to the PS2 and would require a development team of 20 to 40 people working 12 to 18 months. 100,000 sales for most GBA games would have been a wildy profitable game while 100,000 sales for most PSP games would be a disaster.
