There's no way they release on Xbox. Everything else I can see happening but not Xbox though. There's no reason to release on Xbox they are a dying hardware why give them life when you can just wait them out and let their customers cross over to your ecosystem. That's much more valuable then selling more games to their player base and keeping their hardware alive.

Keep in mind if the Nextbox is also a steambox, every Playstation game ever released on PC and every future game release on PC will automatically be on Xbox's next system.  There won't be a need to port a different version for the Xbox OS, the PC version will be fine.

You're correct IF they do that is the key thing. I personally don't believe they are and Jez Corden released an article stating that the next console will be a traditional console. Why give your hardcore fanbase an alternative store? Let them build up a steam library so they can eventually ditch your ecosystem altogether?

Seems like a much better idea to me to simply release a traditional console let the @25 million or so fanbase move over and collect subs from them.

Will also be interesting to see how the licensing works. You can't simply give all of your customers a PC license to the games they own. They need permission from the publishers. The play anywhere list doesn't include most games so that will also be an issue for them. Very excited to see what they end up doing but I honestly believe it's just going to be a traditional console.
