People already had their PS4s yet they still bought PS5s through the economic downturn of the last few years. People continued to buy the Wii through the financial crash of 2008. Video game systems are notoriously resistant to economic turmoil. And the primary audience for Switch isn't "parents buying it as a party device", if it was we wouldn't be seeing single players games like BOTW, TOTK, Mario Odyssey, etc selling at sky high levels.

Don't mind him, there's a subset of people that genuinely thinks the main contributor to the Switch success overall came from the family and kids, while we know from previous data sets that the system is mostly favored by people in their 20's-30's.

The old Nintendo stereotype does not die so easily it seems.

Thank you for stating facts! 20- 30 is the main audience for Switch and we all know that. And thats older than a lot of PS (Xbox) users who are often 13- 19 years old teenies.
