Being the 'American' console is wearing thin. They brought innovation into the console scene when they debuted, but it's been fairly incremental ever since.
The failures here are many:
1. complacency in innovation
2. not really standing out
3. not enough exclusives as others have said
4. trying to be a _brand_ instead of a console
