Israel’s president meets head of Red Cross amid preparations for captive deal
Israeli President Isaac Herzog has met with International Committee of the Red Cross President Mirjana Spoljaric and her team, who are visiting Israel as part of preparations for the captive-exchange deal, Herzog’s spokesperson has said in a statement.
Herzog emphasised the utmost importance and sensitivity of this mission, according to the statement.
The ICRC team briefed Herzog on the preparations for the transfer of the captives and the various challenges involved.
