I got to Ending A in Neir Replicant. Perhaps it's for the best that I didn't return, I do recall MoistCritial saying the rest were rough. I didn't find Neir Automatas endings depressing though, the one where you're the robot trying to put your self together, punched me in the gut good though, fuck that was harsh. 

You play the second half multiple times. The game and ending change each time. Until eventually you reach the true ending and it's something special in game and affecting the player.
