If we're completely honest though, Redemption is nowhere as good of a game as Bloodlines.

Depends on what you're looking for. Redemption is more rigid, more linear, and it's rule system got adapted to PC, straying away from the strict points buy system op V:TM.

But story-wise I found it better than Bloodlines, more fleshed-out, and I preferred being in a coterie (even though their AI wasn't anything to write home about) instead of being mostly alone in Bloodlines.

Also, if Redemption hadn't been that good, Bloodlines would never have been greenlit, so there's that.

I prefer party RPGs over solo ones anytime of day, but I found Redemption's AI to be quite weak, and I guess that bothered me the most - maybe I should give it another chance at some point. I never played TTRPG version of VtM (not my kind of TTRPG), though I've read core rules (a friend of mine was playing it back in days), but it was so long it's very hazy. Bloodlines is not quite non-linear affair, but it really gives you a lot of choices at how to play and, from memory, translated fairly well TTRPG rules into an action-RPG.
