Israeli military says 42 arrested across occupied West Bank
The Israeli military claims its soldiers “thwarted terrorism at numerous targets” throughout its Central Command, which encompasses the occupied West Bank and central Israel. It said 42 people were arrested during the week, four weapons were confiscated, and tens of thousands of shekels were seized.
We reported earlier how Israeli forces launched multiple raids across the occupied territory overnight, including Nablus.

Jenin Battalion says PA killing civilians in ‘cold blood’
The Jenin Battalion says the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the occupied West Bank is killing civilians in “cold blood” as clashes continue between the armed group and government forces.
In a statement sent to Al Jazeera, it said PA troops turned Jenin hospital into a “military barracks and arrested nurses who treated the wounded in Jenin camp”.
“We are keen on the law and the security of citizens. We are open to clan initiatives for a solution, and we refrained from killing a security officer who fell within the range of our fire,” it said. “After expelling a security soldier from one of the houses, we seized a high-tech weapon that was in their possession.”
Jenin and its adjacent refugee camp are a stronghold for armed factions, including the Jenin Brigades, who are seen as more effective resistance to the Israeli occupation, in contrast with the PA which coordinates security matters with Israel.
Seven people injured in settler attack on Silwad: Report
Seven people have been injured during an attack by Israeli settlers on the outskirts of the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah.

He added that the settlers, under the protection of Israeli forces, had burned six vehicles in the area and that the fire destroyed some olive trees.
Hamed also said the settlers had attacked the people of Silwad who went to inspect their lands.
PIJ condemns killing of father and son in Jenin, acuses PA forces
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) has issued a statement condemning the “deliberate shooting” of a home in the occupied West Bank city that resulted in the death of a father and son, accusing Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces of carrying out the act.
The PA has denied responsibility for these killings, however its forces have been engaged in violent crackdowns on the city for weeks.
“We renew our demand that the authorities stop their attacks on our people, stop the siege of the camp, and stop pursuing the resistance fighters”, the PIJ statement says.
