Maybe they got tired of working at a company that insults its fans?

Their franchise/lore designer recently called Cyberpunk 2077 players as "fascists, unempathetic, depraved, poisonous, and predatory wankers."

Who wants to work for a company that feels that way about gamers?

This is not what was said. Criticizing the weirdos who are harassing trans writers:

"I wonder if they realize that by harassing trans writers who have rightfully and justifiably critiqued Cyberpunk 2077’s haphazard and sometimes harmful representation of trans people, that they themselves are the exact kind of people that cyberpunk is designed to destroy: fascistic, unempathetic, and depraved proponents of a regime designed to foster irreversible and indiscriminate misery in technophilic dystopia."

"Cyberpunk 2077 is not captivatingly cyberpunk in the same way as Neuromancer or Akira, or a gigantic number of other cyberpunk texts, but I can assure you of one thing: the people who call Cyberpunk 2077 perfect and refuse to acknowledge its failings are the very same people who have no place in the society that cyberpunk warns against. As the internet drowns in vitriolic virulence in anticipation of the game’s full, unadulterated launch, these people are sharks in the water, hungry for blood. But we are not living in Cyberpunk, and we have not yet reached technophilic dystopia - we can suppress their hatred by starving them until they cannibalize each other, and revel in the humanity that Cyberpunk 2077’s quieter moments offer, away from the maelstrom and free of the people it has exposed as poisonous and predatory wankers."

The people that work for the developer/publisher that attack their consumer base? That's the not question to ask. The question is why aren't the immediately fired. You can't attack your customer base, no matter what you think of them. As a business, it's financial suicide. It shoud be business 101. Apparently these developers skipped that class. There is zero to be gained from it and a lot to lose. Companies not getting rid of these people tells the consumer they agree with the sentiment. These selfish blowhards tank games that dozens if not hundreds of other people have worked on. They show zero consideration for the company more importantly their fellow developers.

Yes, the person saying "gamers were a mistake" is the selfish blowhard, and not the gamers sending death threats.

"Recently" is 4 years ago? 1 day before Cyberpunk's release and before he was even an employee of CDPR?

And no, he didn't insult all fans of Cyberpunk, actually read his article rather than only the title of a Substack post.

I wonder if they realize that by sending critics who have notified the world of potentially life-threatening sequences in the game videos that could triggers seizures in real life, that their actions are deplorable beyond human comprehension. I wonder if they realize that by harassing trans writers who have rightfully and justifiably critiqued Cyberpunk 2077’s haphazard and sometimes harmful representation of trans people, that they themselves are the exact kind of people that cyberpunk is designed to destroy: fascistic, unempathetic, and depraved proponents of a regime designed to foster irreversible and indiscriminate misery in technophilic dystopia.

The People Who Call Cyberpunk 2077 Perfect Are The People That Cyberpunk Warns Us Against

Wow. Turns out he was not insulting me, a Cyberpunk 2077 player, but the people who were being dickheads and rightfully pointing out that those people are the ones that worlds like Cyberpunk's are also criticising. This was also after Cyberpunk's reviews where gamers were losing their shit at the low scores and attacking journalists for criticism, then it turned out, Cyberpunk was a broken piece of shit, Lol. It was ridiculous to label Cyberpunk as perfect and then attack journalists for criticising the game when it ended up in the state it did.

I'm calm, just calling out the bs.

What exactly do you want me to look at? I can't see what you mean in the thread, people debunking what, exactly?

You literally replied right underneath all of those posts, that's a severe case of selective vision.
