US tax money helping drive Palestinian Christians out of Bethlehem, pastor says
Munther Isaac, the pastor of the Christmas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, made the comment in a post on X.
“When Americans on Christmas sing ‘Oh Little Town of Bethlehem’, do they realise that their tax money and elected officials are contributing towards driving Christians out of the ‘little town of Bethlehem’,” he asked.
Earlier, we reported that many churchgoers and decorations are notably absent from Bethlehem this year as Israeli forces set up checkpoints and other restrictions, preventing Palestinian Christians from visiting the city in the occupied West Bank.
