pretty sure they do but could be wrong. (About Tencent and PG).

Still this is actually a good chance to see first how fucked up is Kadokawa inside because they had their own problems in recent years and that's why they wanted to sell the business. From security attacks to bribing in the Olympics and the least thing Sony needs right now is a second Bungie.

If everything goes as they plan there is always the chance of Sony buying more of Kadokawa. The Saudi bought all of SNK in 3 moves made in 3 consecutive years from 2020 to 2022.

The details of the investment, including the amount, have not been disclosed but the studio has stressed that -- unlike past Tencent investments -- the deal does not involve a change of ownership.

The Tencent investment wasn't an acquisition, PG didn't change ownership.

Cool to know but my point beyond who owns PG was about how in the industry things change fast and given the vg industry is still about creation, certain names have more value than products. Developers can leave for personal reasons and those moves make companies lose money. If Miyazaki was going to leave or not was just a possibility but still enough to be cautious abut it.

It's like when Sony was partner of Deviation, once Jason Blundell left the project lost all value in Sony eyes so they cut the investment. Later we knew Jason Blundell didn't leave because of Sony and he is actually part of Sony now but at that moment whatever personal reasons he had to leave his own studio were enough for the studio to die.
